EU: Barley production forecast to total 54.064 mln tonnes in 2020

The latest report by Coceral published in January forecasts the EU-27 barley production in 2020 at 54.064 mln tonnes vs. 54.58 mln tonnes in 2019.

Spring barley output is seen at 26.196 mln tonnes versus 26.474 mln tonnes last year.

France’s barley output is seen down at 12.573 mln tonnes (13.766 mln tonnes in 2019) and Germany’s slightly up this year – 11.785 mln tonnes vs. 11.665 mln tonnes in 2019.
